- Well thought-out projects.
- Completed sketches for each assignment.
- Putting as much time into each project as necessary (should be a minimum of 3 hrs).
- Being prepared for class. Come up with ideas and Sketch on your own time so that during class you can utilize me as well as the supplies in the art room!
Openness to Exploration of New Mediums
- YOU will be FORCED TO WORK OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE, portfolios that contain just one style or medium DO NOT SCORE WELL.
Openness to Criticism and Willingness to Work on Improvement
- You might not always like what you hear, remember both your classmates and I are trying to help when you get criticism
- GO BACK into the piece CHANGE, REWORK AND IMPROVE!!
- Don't be afraid to scrap work and start over.
Complete all work ON TIME & PARTICIPATE!
- If you fall behind on your work (just like any class) it is extremely hard to catch up! The class is very fast pace and requires a lot of your creative energy and your time!
- Participation in Critique is mandatory. If you want help and feed back on your work you have to be willing to give that same feedback to your classmates.
- Critiques will happen weekly and will be part of your grade.
Have Fun!
- Art is your passion (or it should be if you took this course) and you should have fun with it.
- Be creative
- Don't be afraid to voice your opinion in a critic
- The more you put into the class the more fun it will be and the more you will get out of it.
